What we Believe?
We hold to the doctrine and standards left on record by the Apostles of Jesus Christ. These are not denominational traditions or cultural fads. These are truths that have withstood persecution, manipulation, and dilution. Here at Holy Ground Church, we do not compromise.
Doctrinal Standards
We Believe That:
___________________
There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.
Baptism must be performed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ by a man, woman can assist the man that's baptising people (Acts 2:38).
The Holy Ghost is evidenced by speaking in tongues (Isaiah 28:11; Acts 2:4).
Holiness is required for every believer, not just pastors.
God still speaks, calls, convicts, and restores—but not through compromise.
We Reject the Following in Church Leadership:
Female preachers or pastors.
Homosexual or lesbian ministers.
Preachers who remarry while their first spouse is still alive.
Men or women in leadership who wear makeup, pants (for women), jewelry, or tattoos.
Political campaigning from the pulpit.
These are not based on tradition but rooted in Scripture and the call to be separate and set apart.
On Sanctification
We teach that sanctification is not optional. It is the line in the sand that separates the church from the world. This includes our speech, dress, conduct, and personal lives.
“It was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” — Jude 1:3
HOLY SPIRIT FILLED
We teach that the evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking in tongues, not just “feeling the Spirit” or emotional expression.
Tongues are not gibberish or self-taught. They are supernatural utterance given by the Holy Spirit. We also recognize “stammering lips” as part of the process (Isaiah 28:11), but the clear evidence of spiritual rebirth is that the Spirit gives utterance.
Baptism in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ
We teach and practice baptism by full immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, never simply “Jesus” or titles like “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.” (See Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 19:5)
Baptism is more than a ritual. It’s the burial of your old man, and the public declaration of being born again.
